I keep telling folks if Mahomes wins another SB and SB MVP in these playoffs, his only competition is Brady
I wouldn't say he's only chasing Brady but he definitely becomes top 5 all time imo. I keep saying that no one else has earned the right to be put in the same category just yet. Folks really acting like he didn't just win a Superbowl and if his front office would have given him at least 1 other receiver who is dependable, we probably are saying when he get his 3rd Superbowl instead of if.

How strange was that call Romo made when the Bills recovered that fumble and he said this is going to be Chiefs ball! Then they just ignored what he said.I guess someone got in his ear and said stfu.

He played well but the last drive was basically the reason they lost. He made bad reads and didn’t take what was there to give his guy an easier field goal.

The reason they lost is because of two reads by Josh Allen, one of which was a touchdown if his OT doesn’t get rammed into him?

Are yall reading what you are posting?

So we gonna ignore a defense that forced 3 3rd downs in the 1st half? They stopped KC like two times the entire game and one of those stops was a fumble through the end zone!

The receivers dropped passes that hit them right in the hands. A supposed #1 star receiver!

The kicker missed a kick so bad it would have been no good from the 10 yard line and you blaming the QB for not getting him 5 yards closer?

Football discussion has to go back to being about more than the QB. This is insane.

You didn’t interpret that correctly.

Romo was saying that was going to be the Chiefs ball easily until that Bills player on the ground pushed his hand out to knock it away. Romo was giving credit to that guy on the ground for saving a scoop and score. Hence the reason they showed the guy on the ground pushing the ball over and over again on replay.

I said he played well. But he wasn’t good enough that final drive. Two things can be true.

Nah, Josh Allen is a victim. It’s everyone else but dude really put up 26-39 and 186 with 1 TD (if I want to frame it like they do Lamar or any other black “running” QB) and that was enough to win.

Oh, he ran the ball 12 times for 72 yards and two TDs? It’s mostly chunks of 2,3,4 yards with one big run. That was supposed to be enough to win……

It wasn’t enough. Dude needed to be more efficient, smarter with the ball, and control the game. He didn’t. He didn’t ball out and like in 2022 and just come up short. He didn’t shyt the bed either like he did (AT HOME) against the Bengals last year. He’s just not that dude. Every metric (QBR, QB Rating, Y/A, scoreboard, etc) says he didn’t get it done.

But we’re supposed to overlook the fact he didn’t make the plays needed, he was lucky his fumble was recovered, his terrible reads, his defense got him a punt and a recovered fumble in the 4th quarter against the boogeyman (which lead to a punt and a missed field goal), him calling his own number 51 times and say he did enough but everyone else failed him?

Mahomes overcomes all that stuff. Pat was down 20-10 in a Super Bowl going into the 4th. QBs are supposed to be the ones that put you over the top and get the job done regardless. I didn’t create or drive this narrative. We all know the roots of the narrative. We all know why it applies to him. He didn’t get it done when it matters. Doesn’t make him a bad quarterback. Not at all. It’s just that with the game in his hands, he didn’t do what he needed to do to win.

And now it’s excuses.

In the CBS postgame show, they mentioned how KC had 8 plays over 20 yards on offense, and the Bills had 0. Yet they scored in every quarter except the 4th.

Why did they go away from what was working? That last drive was especially egregious. Allen was going for the kill shot, he had Diggs wide open on that 2nd and 9 and legit looked him off.

Allen did not play good at all down the stretch :yeshrug:

If I was the Bills coach, I would praise my team for how much effort they put in, except the kicker.
I would then create conspiracies explaining how he waited for this moment to purposely miss the field goal.
Like "His family taught him that failure in the face of adversity is an opportunity to build character."
Or "His pastor lost money on the Bills when Jim Kelly was the QB and this was spiritual payback for him."
