The casual player doesn't buy tickets now until its half a billion dollars. I also blame the media they would rather talk about the same story everyday instead of hyping up a $200 million dollar jackpot. That billion dollar jackpot may have been a once in a lifetime size jackpot but if it gets that big again you will see the same hysteria online and offline with people from around the world trying to get people to buy them tickets and mail the money. $40 million is the minimum for both games but that doesn't excite the casual player enough to spend their 2 bucks no matter how bad the economy is for a lot of Americans.

The casual players are why you see the jackpot jumping up $100 million in only two days when its gets higher because they don't play every week like me and some others. When the jackpot was 1.5 billion the casual players were going to buy up $500 million tickets in only a few days to make it $2 billion if it rolled one more time. So of course this means ever two weeks we could have a billion dollar jackpot if the casual players would just get excited and play every week. They would rather wait 2-4 months for the jackpot to slowly climb up to mid 9 figures.

Why not play the bare minimum? Playing more doesn’t increase your absolute odds.

Edit: I'm asking why don't you only play $2-4 per week instead of $20?

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — A thief hoping to steal his way to some good luck busted through the roof of a grocery store and took hundreds of dollars worth of lottery tickets on Wednesday.

Ironically, unlucky for him, it was all caught on camera.

Surveillance footage captured a fairly clear image of the suspect's face, and after about a day on the run, Kevin Croft, 30, was arrested for the crime by Florida detectives.

Croft was booked into the Lee County Jail and faces charges of burglary, grand theft and criminal mischief/property damage.

The arrest is the 21st booking for Croft, who is also a registered convicted felon. His criminal past includes multiple counts of drug use, theft and battery, among other criminal counts. He is currently being held on $15,000 bond.

Deputies noticed that the roof of the store was the point of entry when they arrived at Laurel Lane Grocery store in the Suncoast Estates community during the early morning hours of July 18. The suspect allegedly cut through plywood and asphalt shingles to get through.

Once inside the store, he went straight for the lottery tickets and stole several dozen, according to deputies. He then went back through the roof for his escape.
