I posted this in the other lottery thread and I'll post it here too for the guys that may not know about Powerball's "Power Play" option.
"Whenever I play Mega Millions or Powerball I always make sure to "Megaplier" and "Power Play" for a extra $1. I would be pissed off if I won... $500, $2000, $50,000 or $100,000... whatever... but then realized I could have won 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X or 10X that if I would have just added another $1 for the "Megaplier" or the "Power Play". So... instead of winning $1000... if you played the Power Play and it's 4X... you would win $4,000... that's a big difference... at the cost of only a extra $1.(So... the price of 1 Powerball ticket with Power Play would be $3)"
Yeah... If I play I always play the Megapier or Power Play. I played the Powerball a couple weeks ago and i got 3 numbers right on one ticket and only won $7... but I added the "Power Play" for a extra $1 and the "Power Play" came up 4X... so instead of $7 I won $28. I bought 2 Powerball tickets on my phone and one of the tickets was a winner. Here's a screen shot of the winning Powerball numbers with the "Power Play".

So yeah... for a extra $1 you can win a lot more money... $1,000's or even a million more... I say a million because if you match 5 white balls but not the Powerball... you will win the second prize of $1,000,000. But if you played the "Power Play" you automatically win another million dollars on top of that. So you win $2,000,000 for playing the 'Power Play' for only a extra $1.
You should always Power Play.

Unreal that one person won. A lot of people online are legitimately pissed and swearing off playing lotto. Imagine how much money was made that they can give away 800M?
