I'm pretty sure $700million is a new record. However at this point i'm going to be incredibly surprised if only 1 person wins this jackpot. There will most likely be multiple winners, so it will be split between multiple people.
according to the powerball website 13 people won the 2nd place $1million dollar prize....I would have been just fine with that too.....oh well.

At this point in the game you'd have to be stupid not to play. All of those naysayers calling it a tax on the poor are also misguided. As long as you're not blowing hundreds of dollars and skipping rent payments and being late on bills and shyt, there's nothing wrong with playing the lottery. The potential return far outweighs the cost. Hell, i'm sure most people spend more buying coffee every morning than they do on ONE flippin' lottery ticket.
