so SOHH.COM tried to find "investors" for that lame a$$ DOUGIE shyt and it backfired and the investors turned around and snatched up the forums as Collatoral and basically sabotaged that shyt ..cause SOHH couldn't pay it's DEBT....

damn they dumb..............sounds like SOHH signed a 360 deal..............

Sometimes, companies buy properties in order to crush them. Disney is the king of that crap. Edit to add an example just remembered: JumpTheShark was one of the biggest sites on the web. So what happens when TVGuide buys them?

Other times, companies have their own agendas and don't want to crush an extremely popular property so much as stripmine it to zombie status. It happened to ICQ when AOL bought them. It happened to Spill when Hollywood.com bought them (though this may belong to the 'buy to crush' category like Jump The Shark). And it looks like it happened to SOHH when Buzzfeed bought them.

So why should anyone care? For the future.

SOHH was basically the same as this site, except the forums didn't have any of the cool features we got over here. cats got tired of the BS, and the site fukking up during the NBA playoffs, and this site was made as an alternative. I swear like 90% of their members jumped ship from there to here within a week. it was unbelieveable....and their arrogance

it got to the point where there were so few posters on their decrepid forums, that there were cats starting threads and responding to themselves over and over
