I'll never forget that shyt it was the craziest shyt I ever been a part of in all my years of internet forum posting, brehs literally did what they thought we'd never do. All my 2007 ahh refugees finally got their promised land grouchy greg screwed us out of, all the sohh vets finally got a forum they deserved that matched their long track record of powerful posting. This forum is truly people's justice, the fact that cacplex got it so wrong in regards to the story just shows how out of touch they are in general being the culture vultures that they are. This site got huge room for growth, that's the scary part.

In its early years, when the IC was the pride of internet communities, Odeisel inherited this online Mecca of hip hop discussion. But the overweight and lethargic Odeisel ruled in a self-serving and foolish manner. By 2006, he was constantly shutting down the entire forum for months, for what he called "upgrades" but the rest of us realized were shytty forum software and decreased site traffic. Finally, in 2009, he installed the mother of all shytty forum softwares, allowing for trolls to post gay porn non-stop, with no recourse for the staff. The owners of Allhiphop.com essentially pushed Odeisel out at this point, though his loyalists will claim he left over "compensation" disputes.

Anyway, if you don't feel like reading that paragraph: Odeisel ran the ic into the ground and almost permanently destroyed it. Now he runs some ghost town site called plantill.

i was there since 2001 and this site has already topped that. yeah they had a lot of alias' due to the ease of creating an account, but the-coli photoshop threads are a thing of glory. plus we got exclusive coli songs and dis records and shyt. the spot did have some good threads with classic album downloads and original samples and shyt, but that cant be done anywhere now really. there was a handful of threads over there that was cool (the jay-z kfc thread was a favorite of mine), but overall, the-coli is better in just about every way. the only thing that was really great about sohh was the posters and most of em migrated over here anyway

ehh, i want this site to be better but its gotta earn those stripes first.

what it all comes down to, at the end of the day is quality content & posting. and the posting here isnt on par with prime sohh at all.

this site is better run, with better features and a better engine, but thats all secondary.

IN FAIRNESS, the lack of quality posting here is what wouldve been going on if we were still at sohh. it wouldve been most of the same people. lets not forget that the posting quality at sohh was getting worse & worse. alot of the bum f-list posters here, started out on sohh.

Having hatred for SOHH is really just a popular Coli thing to do...

SOHH was one of the most liberal forums on the internet at the time, over half of the sh*t that went on there would have never been allowed on a lot of the popular forums. The mods were too fair more often than not. The owners dropped the ball with the lack of transparency, that's their own fault and they suffered because it.

i posted on sohh for 11 years and never ever had a problem with any of the mods.

but like half of the mods on the coli stay tryna f*ck with me on some funny chit. moving my threads for no reason until the higher-ups step in and put the threads back. shoutouts to the higher-ups. but to say that the mods are better here is ludacris. there were mods(really sohh posters with newfound priviledges) who were publically targeting me before i even signed up here.
