I probably like this one better as a instrumental cause the drums are way better on this one.

i like rza's version better but after hearing this og flip all he really did was use gloomier drums and let the sample breathe

and the whole c.r.e.a.m. thing, pretty influential i guess

i wonder if it woulda made 36 chambers if this was released :patrice: couldn't even imagine wu tang with no cream

on a totally unrelated side note, are any of rza's computers lost in the "flood" still around, i feel like in 2016 they could recover most of it :jbhmm: or were those albums even real? :jbhmm:

in the light rza been looking real fishy recently:leostare:
Disrespect fam. Y'all really think rza flucked out and made multi classics with no skills.

But bu but he just added drums. Breh something being simple don't make it unremarkable.

It is what it is.

I liked a lot of songs by BDP/KRS but he was never one of my favorites.

I wouldn't have him in my top 10 from the 80s-90s, probably wouldn't even be in my top 20 of what I listened to/followed.

This was my joint though

and

and

this was dope too

This was probably one of my favorite songs at one point, and the beat was dope
I still have this on vinyl, totally slept on track...big time

But it wasn't for KRS.
Probably a top 10 posse cut ever though

The fact that all your favorite joints sans one are post-95 records is pretty telling.

not gonna lie, between 92-98 was prime hiphop for me.
but in the 80s I liked this shyt too

the whole criminal minded album was nice.

like I said, I ain't saying he's garbage, I'm saying he wasn't as good as others make him out to be.

Not even in my top 5 from the 80's either (that I was listening to)

RunDMC
LL Cool J
Public Enemy
Big Daddy Kane
Eric B & Rakim

I mean after all them I'd probably have BDP in there.

:manny:

like I said it is what it is.
