In the past I would've kept silent in a thread of this nature, but at this point I have nothing to lose. So here it goes...
This site makes far more money than the members can imagine. Off ad revenue, member information traffic biz, and content provision via gifs, vines, and intellectual property... yeah, they are eating well.
Some of us were salaried posters. For a little over a year, I was paid $700 a month with potentially $3,000 worth of incentives based on thread views. Generating consistent page views was serious business - a thread visited by enough posters and randoms could make the site upwards of $75,000 from advertisers in a week. shyt, the Hogan and LeBron thundercat threads banked me $10,000 altogether after the owners paid the bonuses built into the contract structure.
Long story short, the site was promoting tv shows and artists for a flat fee, made close to $500K of tjat type of shyt last year, and started cutting the paid posters out of the picture. Only dude making steady money at this point is @Malta, but even that is signifiantly less than his usual pay. Which is why I barely post at this point. I'm owed something like 7 grand. shyt is outrageous.
