I hear what you’re saying but the more you read African history the more difficult it becomes to ignore the ‘Arab’ role in slavery on the continent.

When I say Arab I’m referring to anyone who spoke Arab or was part of their societies. Let’s agree to disagree on that.

Personally I have no bone in the fight between Israel & Palestine. I just find it weird why this issue receives such a disproportionate amount of attention.

Even in this thread some of the comments about Israel or Jews could have been written on st0rmfr0nt. So I would also caution you to be careful of racists using Palestine or Israel as a smokescreen for their own nefarious beliefs.

Good Discussion

Because it drives US foreign policy in the Middle East. Which is turn governs how the cabal of ruling world governments treat the situation. Which in turn bolsters the global narrative of a clash of civilizations and terrorism.

Yea, had a few work trips out there. Did you just spend most your time in Jerusalem and Bethlehem? What were your thoughts?

ah i see

Jerusalem
Bethlehem
Jericho
today tel Aviv

kind of wish I went to Ramallah didn’t know it was so close

I loved the history of Jerusalem but found it very segregated. Like certain places only muslims can go or any jews can go or only Catholics go here. Wanted to see king Davis tomb but had to put on a Yamaka Nah. Wanted to go to Temple Mount but because I had a cross nope, lions gate stopped by cops and questioned if I was Muslim.

East Jerusalem you won’t see one Jewish people, Temple Mount is under Jordanian control :dahell:

i loved how walkable it is though I only spent money on the bus once and that’s when I came since then just been walking anywhere I need to go is twenty min max.

Food is crazy expensive . I Bought a sugar treat and it was 35 shekels :dahell:. If i ever come back I’m packing a pack of bagels.

Bethlehem was dope I like the West Bank better than Israel if I ever come back I’ll stay over there. People are nicer, food is cheaper

jericho was also cool as well all the deserts, mountains, Dead Sea

Tel Aviv reminded me of Lisbon I could tell right away it’s such a liberal city. I saw a lot of minorities tons of black folks, Indians etc s

it’s just crazy to me the segregation and the way arabs are treated. Like going to the bus station two arabs were stopped and searched I just went through.

arabs in the West Bank can’t cross over to israel unless they are Christian :dahell:

Actually been doing a lot of readings etc on Israel us government has given them 118 billion dollars over the years

3.2 billion a year and black folks can’t get anything :dahell:

don’t even know why they need a us handout

I wanted to tack on Jordan to one of my work trips but never found the time. I may try to hit it in Jan/feb. I’d like to go to the Dead Sea

But seems you made the best of your few days there :salute:

There’s prob not one Jewish person in gaza and in the West Bank Israeli settlements are so small. I don’t see why they can’t have their own country

1. "here’s prob not one Jewish person in gaza"
Not true.

2. "I don’t see why they can’t have their own country"
You cannot be serious.
Ask someone there how and where Israel came from.

Balfour Declaration - Wikipedia
and like that other big question "The German Question" there a similar "Jewish Question" floating around.

google it.

I guess this stuff will get lost in the sands of time. That side of the issue hardly gets talk about anyway because (once again) anglos created the issue in the first place with their global meddling.

Also Israel holds illegal nukes.

"
Mordechai Vanunu (Hebrew: מרדכי ואנונו‎; born 14 October 1954), also known as John Crossman,[1][2] is an Israeli former nuclear technician and peace activist[3] who, citing his opposition to weapons of mass destruction, revealed details of Israel's nuclear weapons program to the British press in 1986.[4] He was subsequently lured to Italy by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, where he was drugged and abducted.[4] He was secretly transported to Israel and ultimately convicted in a trial that was held behind closed doors.[4]

Vanunu spent 18 years in prison, including more than 11 in solitary confinement, though apparently not "prescribed" by the Court, and further subject to broad array of restrictions on his speech and movement. Released from prison in 2004, he was arrested several times for violations of his parole terms, giving interviews to foreign journalists and attempting to leave Israel. He claims having suffered "cruel and barbaric treatment" at the hands of prison authorities, and suggests that these would have been different if he had not converted to Christianity.[5]

Can’t even get a damn pepperoni pizza here :to:
Lol, that was me the first time trying to find a cheeseburger...fukk I want a burger with no cheese for!?
It is forbidden for a Jew to cook meat and dairy together. One can prepare a sandwich with cold cuts and cheese, but cooking them together is against halachah.

And last thing there is the question of where the Jews (Azkhanazi subset) come from.

For the record I don't know and I am not a "theorist".

What I will say though, is it that it's a topic that is religiously avoided (pun intended).

The craziest thing toe is the Samson option they have. Any country that invades or destroys them they have the right to basically nuke them

That’s if you’re kosher. Tel Aviv has a lot of non kosher eateries - pork and shellfish abound - plus it’s a very secular city, but it seemed that was one of the few kosher laws all of them followed. Although there was a burger spot in Sarona market that had cheeseburgers I believe
