@skooby (or whoever asked who the owners are nowadays): that is a good question. i think that many of us longtime members would like to believe that steve & felicia wouldn't just let this forum waste away. but as you can see, buzzmedia is the company name you see at the bottom of the page, huh? it is all sort of confusing for those of us who knew this forum as SOHH before.

felicia told me today that she is writing a letter to the forum members that basically explains why "this" has happened. there are legalities and complexities involved that i am not privy to, or i would long ago have shed light.

as far as the other stuff goes, (it's better at the other site, etc) i am SURE it is better there in every conceivable way than our forums are, and not just because most of our members are there now. the communication and chain of command here, coupled with the ownership and technical issues, is horrific. the members deserve better.

retta, i see you, and it is all love. i'll keep hanging around here, doing my job, following orders, and catching heat for all that is bad and sad, 'till the wheels fall off.

So they basically got them to set up a deal that said "Lets try to move the traffic you currently have to this new type of site, but If its not working out to our liking. We can terminate the project and take over your traffic" Basically a roundabout way of buying the site from underneath them... proably for a discount too if they promised them a share of the new site they were trying to build....
