Question: How many times we have to hear again and again from different boxers, coaches, media personalities, users, my neighbor, etc... that Kovalev is an underrated boxer until he becomes a "not underrated" boxer in the eyes of these people?
I think it was mentioned now more than enough how he isn't just a power puncher and I'd even say it got overemphasized cause many people still on their trip that Kovalev is an underrated boxer and people don't give credit for his boxing ability.

that was maybe the case in 2014, 3 years passed since, get over it guys... Kovalev is not an "underrated boxer" anymore, literally nobody says about him that he is "just a power puncher" so get over with this already.
I think at this point every boxing fan knows kov is a legit technical boxer. anybody who can outbox ward for even a few rounds has some serious skill. good footwork, good speed, good feints, good counter punching. he's just an all around beast. realistically he should have been the one getting all the HBO love over little g, considering he's clearly the superior fighter in every way. I really do think the winner of saturday's fight should be considered p4p number 1. that's how much respect I have for both fighters. I don't respect kovalev as a man, but you have to respect his skill set. he's truly one of the few great fighters we have in boxing today. it just so happens he's going up against THEE greatest fighter in boxing today and that's why he's gonna take that L.

I agree with him being very skilled. The Hopkins fight he showed exceptional skill as well. Hell this fight is still close which says something. GGG is skilled himself, has the Olympic medal/amateur background, about to break middleweight defense record and wants to unify (canelo could derail that though), long KO streak, seems more marketable (and isn't a dikkwad). So I can understand why they roll with him (although I hate that Ward doesn't get his due respect). Don't sleep on GGG
