The right way, the wrong way and the Max Power way
What do you yall think bout Hunter and Ward saying he can move up to HW and outbox AJ?

Said moving to cruiserweight would be pointless

Andre is an infinitely better and more skilled boxer than AJ, but the difference in weight might be too much to overcome.

AJ is built like Clark Kent.

Yeah man wasn't hard to do cuz I've always loved both fighters. I've said before I have all of Wards fights on DVD. Just simply thought KRUSHER could win both times. But there's no denying Ward improved for this fight. I loved that he was holding his ground more in during the exchanges and wasn't backing up like he did the first time.

Again I still gotta rewatch on TV cuz watching live they looked like low blows, 4 specifically, in the 8th round. Weeks blew the calls on a few of the low blows and the stoppage was premature to me. Standing 8 count seemed appropriate. But then again KRUSHER could've taken a knee and should have. He also shouldn't have been turning his back to Ward as that was very telling :picard:

I still won $ on Ward tho cuz the fight didn't go the distance :takedat:
There is no standing 8 for these fights. People still don't know this? :snoop:

These gifs are cool but they don't address the low blows in the 8th round. The last gif shows that moment but from a bad angle.

I rewatched the fight again on TV after watching it live and I've seen all the gifs and slow mo vids that everyone's creating and I saw a low blow landed at the beginning of the 8th round. Weeks however didn't call it and instructed the fight to continue. Then later in the round Ward connected a very nice straight lead on KRUSHERS chin that wobbled him. As Ward followed up in the end, I saw and counted 2 borderline shots followed by the final low blow which was further south than the rest.

So the final blow was the only one you could make a case for. The problem is kovalev was already bent over from all the LEGAL punches he was hit with. When dudes get hit in the back of the head when they're bent over the ref will warn them specifically to stop bending over. That final blow going a little low was 100% kovalev's fault. Ward had one of two choices. Hit him in the back of the head or try to go to the body. He did kovalev a favor. This is what I don't get. Is ward just supposed to stop fighting cause this clown decided to literally curl up like a bytch?:dahell:........seriously though. What other option did ward have?.....the man was literally bent over in front of him. The ref hadn't stepped in yet. You have to aim for whatever you can get at that point. Once a man bends over and stops fighting, he has officially quit. That final blow was just the icing on the cake :banderas:

Seems like he'd only be willing to fight a John Ruiz type of HW champ.

that is looking like joseph parker right now...a ward vs bellew fight at CW might have some legs because of that creed connection..you know the byline for that fight would reference it lol
