All of the top Cruiserweights are enrolled in the Ali tournament... Except Lebedev, but he's a paper champ protected by the WBA.Is this what u want or do think Ward should go to Cruiserweight or heavy?
A lot of good shot in this interview
So it's not economical to go Cruiser then..so he should do the Stevenson fight then? Ok...look Stevenson has a strong punch but I don't see him having the dimensions to land like he wants. All of the top Cruiserweights are enrolled in the Ali tournament... Except Lebedev, but he's a paper champ protected by the WBA.
Usyk might actually also be available. That would be dangerous as fukk...
Stevenson got two sleepers for fists, he could easily move up and become a champion. Ward doesn't have that equalizer even though he's a great boxer.
Also, and the most important note, there's no money at cruiserweight.
There's no John Ruiz's at heavyweight either to take a title away from (unless Fres Oquendo is given the title just because...)
....so I noticed JDJ was talking to a small group of dudes and made my way to listen. He was saying Ward executed game plan and Sergey didn't stick to his. Then he made several statements about not being able to say to much now but willing to break it all down in a few weeks....
....then I noticed JDJ wasn't at the post fight conference. It was Duva, KRUSHER, and Klimas again an SOG mob....
Ryabinskiy Livid: Ward-Kovalev Stoppage Was F***ing Nuts!
By Alexey Sukachev
On Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Andre Ward (32-0, 16 KOs) stopped Sergey Kovalev (30-2-1, 26 KOs) in a rematch of their first highly controversial fight, which took place last November. Ward retained the IBF, WBA, WBO light heavyweight titles.
Last year, there was debate over whether or not Ward deserved the twelve round decision, after Kovalev appeared to outbox him but all three judges scored it 114-113 in the other direction.
The rematch came with another major controversy, when Kovalev was stopped on the ropes in the eighth round by referee Tony Weeks after Kovalev was hurt by a right hand followed by a series of low or borderline low blows.
Russian promoter Andrey Ryabinskiy, the man behind "World of Boxing", which is Russia's biggest promotional outfit, is furious about the ending of Kovalev vs. Ward II. He let his emotions flow on Twitter.
"That's f...ng nuts! Two blows way south of the border, and the referee calls it off. Not even bothering to issue a count! Another example of criminal refereeing. Boxing turns into nonsense with this kind of official's work. That's a load of bull! Once again the whole word is a forced witness of how Andre Ward is being carried onto another 'win.' Indeed, Kovalev did box bad tonight. But it's not about him. It's about officials. It was mean, awful lawlessness", wrote Ryabinskiy.

You said they had to give him a count... There's no standing 8 count and the man didn't take a knee...Why are you quoting me with Roy saying KKK was breathing heavy?
what part part of "KKK was clearly gassed" did you not comprehend?
I've forgotten more about this sport than you'll ever know little nikka...
but I most definitely haven't forgotten what low is...
A punch on the lower part of the belt is low by rule...
KKK wasn't faking that and Dre stopped because he even knew that punch was borderline at best...
fukk out of here...
