I haven't read thru the thread yet...but did anybody mention how high Kovalev's trunks were? That's why some of those punches appeared lower than were (combined with Kovalev bending below the waistline which is also ILLEGAL)
Right before the stoppage, none of those shots Ward was landing constitute "low blows". Shots that land below the top of the trunk line don't automatically mean "low blow". Those punches were nowhere near his nuts.
Kovalev was done and looking for a way out...he looked like he was already tired a couple rds earlier and was mentally checking out...turning his back to Ward in the middle of the ring and looking at the ref everytime Ward would land clear, clean body shots...he was done after that right hand...and refused to defend himself or even take a knee while getting hit with legal blows...left Weeks with no other choice.
