Microsoft products :mjlol: for c++ on linux ...

Computer scientists don't use MS products (unless paid tons to do so).

Jetbrains is not free. (Well it is for me but ...)

Usual empty headed nonsense :camby:
Are you actually in the industry?
I don't use it personally but VS Code (and a bit of Co-Pilot) has been taking the industry by storm. And if you're not aware of that then I'm not sure where your head's at.

I'm not going to even bring up that GitHub's been owned by Microsoft for 6/7 years now.

if you aee looking for an argument you are looking at the wrong person.

:camby:

even the term "in the industry" is in itself myopic and shows your lack of experience.

you work on websites? you use python or some other quasi language.

not everyone works at the bubblegum end of the industry :hubie:

as for MS owning github :snoop: like that means something :snoop: you don't remember the outcry from (real) DEVELOPERS when they took over :snoop: or do i even have to connect those dots for you too.

i make no claim to anything that should concern you.

:hubie:

I have a phone screen coming up with a FAANG company. It's do or die for me since i've been out of work for a year now. :to:

I ain't never prepare for an interview like this ever in my life, I've been living and breathing leetcode for weeks on end.

There is no room for failure. Pray for me, brehs :wow:

:blessed::blessed::blessed: straight to the virtual onsite

:wow: Onsite feedback finally received. They said I killed it and all 5 rounds were a strong vote for hire. I don't even know what to say. :mjcry:

2.5 months of daily grind and all-nighters finally paid off. Funny how I keep bouncing back strong from all these L's I keep taking. :to: :blessed: :ohlawd:

I can rn through many leetcode programming interviews but system design has always been my weakness. Since you killed it, do share some resources so I can kill my next one too :feedme:

Im trynna get a FAANG offer in the next 12 months. I think I can do it if I tighten up on my system design skills.
This was over 2 years ago....maaaan :wow:

This job has been brutal man. Data Operations. we just converted everything from Hive/Hadoop/Cloudera to AWS. Things take significantly less time to run, but its a little harder to manually control. We're looking to automate everything, but sometimes these delays and data issues from the providers have my team scrambling.

Probably more important than my tech skills here is my communication skills. Finally getting better at it.

My only unforgiveable gripe is they got rid of doordash credits and now we get cold ass airplane food (unless you go over to the cafeteria in the other building). Credit to them tho, the upgrade the coffee and added those flavored syrups, and got smoothies to go.
