I just completed a test where you could use C, C++, Java or C#.

I used Java.

I hate these types of tests.

It's a cop-out to test people like this.

yeah you do... hanging or circular references can still leak memory ...

I'm not a Java dude. I saw through a cursory search the circular reference thing is kind of not an issue anymore in New versions of Java.

I'm working on this code that has several bugs that stand out visually which should cause it to fail outright with a runtime error . But this is supposed to be a process they rely on regularly ?

I can't even test the damn thing because the test environment has bad data. Only so many if thisshyt is None: I can temporarily add before it becomes a problem. Whereas we just delivered a defect free application to one team, defects is all this new one is about to be

I was going to get one of those but read that those have issues with drivers/devices. And that dell adds their own software "management" tools and utilities to it.

Also last I looked you couldn't get them in the states anymore and the overseas ones cannot be ordered with a US international keybd.

So that just leaves macbooks and I don't want to get one of the new ones.

Be tasked with refactoring an entire project filled with spaghetti code, no documentaion outside of example notebooks, plus no unittests....while being expected to knock this out the part in a month, with unittests included plus documentaion....all alone....while being constantly asked about status updates and whether people can start using the new version yet .
