about to start recording my final project presentation , and submit it in order to graduate.

A big corp threw me bone and wants me to come for a technical interview for a Senior Software Engineer position for their cloud computing team

Im in shambles right now trying to find excuses to chicken out cause I dont wanna go make a fool out of myself .
But at the same time I realize if I hit this lick, It aint gon ever be the same

At least they had the decency not to ghost me

Round 2 baby! The recruiter from last time reached out and they want me to try again for this new team they are putting together
Just finished the application.....let the prep games begin

The crazy thing is: I didn't have to even go through the technical round this time. manager breh remembered me from last time and we started chopping it up about the new team they are building and my fit for it.

Its been negotiations since last week we been going back and forth.





Sadly, they don't want to give me what i'm asking for
I have another contract job lined up for next month that will pay me substantially more but they wont budge because the other job is paying me American market rate while they are trying to pay me 3rd world salary rates

The name recognition is good and the potential to learn a heck in this space is ........but im starving and trying to rack up them coins


Im afraid im gonna have to go with the unknown company based off the pay alone...pray for me brehs

Might be an American resident within the next 6 months though depending on how things pan out with the stuff lined up.

Cool. Only reason I asked is cause I got a tech homie in Brazil and another one in Iran that are desperately trying to figure out how to get some of this American money. You sound like you have great experience, being outside of the US but still able to get some of these US ducats. Can I hit your pm in the future to get advice for my guys?

you shoul check your inbox more often, you've asked me these questions already and I answered. I got into the American market via github and working/contributing on open source software projects. Got noticed by a hiring manager who hit me up via email and eventually became my employer and mentor. The rest is history.

You're right. Tbh, every time a fight happens, im one of the dudes folks hit up for links and my inbox is a mess (imagine a bumrush of 50 brehs hitting you for a link). It turns into me losing messages and not being able to find them due to thecoli messaging not having a search feature smh.
