His name has now become a joke and punchline in the same community that helped launch him to megastar status. Puff is done.
Attendance at Catholic Churches has dropped significantly since those reports came out. Catholic parishes are closing at record rates, and the number of masses had to be reduced in most places because of low attendance. The decline in church attendance has been one of the biggest concerns in the Catholic community for years.
