There is a time and place to give your kids a good ass whoopin'. But I believe that the disciplining should only happen when they are kids, that way you sit down and talk to them afterwards and let them know why the whoopin' happened in the first place. Hopefully you won't have to put hands on them in their teens because of the approach you took when they were kids as far as the disciplining goes
That's the key. Giving a kid a good 3-8 lashes with a belt or extension cord is useless otherwise.
