Now that St. Louis has a Welker-type player, I can see the benefits of someone like him. Reliable, gets yards after catch, keeps defense honest. But he doesn't play so much outside the numbers so I guess NE doesn't care much about him.

Jay Cutler could actually use a receiver like him. I don't know much about the Bears offense, but outside of Marshall, who do they have?

Johnny Knox is good if thet can get him on the field.

Seymour wanted max money, they had to pay either him or Vince because they also had to give Brady max money because he wasn't taking a discount again. Do people not pay attention?

I don't know why people always bring up Seymour, and over look that it was common knowledge that either him or Vince was going to get paid. One of them was gone(Getting a 1 was a bonus).

And then while they're saying the Pats are cheap b/c of the Seymour trade. They overlook that the Pats made Vince the highest paid nose tackle in the game at the time.

I am starting to believe that the Cap to some people is just some mythical arbitrary number.

The cap didnt just pop up out of nowhere. When you have a player of that caliber you find a way to keep him.

This is something the patriots shouldn't entertain. He has shown up enough times for the Patriots and he wants to be a patriot. Use him for the season at least!!

MikeandMike straddled the fence on it this issue.
"Welker is being phased out cuz SO many great weapons to choose from...but none are better than Welker. So he'll be relied on more later. It aint about the money, but......Welker won't be a Patriot next year."

Wuh?
Pick a SIDE!

Then they played a clip of Brady refusing to comment. "I gotta focus on being a good QB. I'll let you [media] write the stories."
Recall Martha Stewart when she wanted to focus on chopping salad during an interview abt her personal troubles.

Might be the most cold-hearted organization in sports...

NFL is a cold business. The organizations that get rid of players a year too soon as opposed to a year late always stay in the hunt.

It’s the sentimental , garbage teams that keep and pay dudes for what they already done instead of what they gonna do that stay bein garbage..

That’s why :beli: is that cracka..
