mob deep wasn't even killin all like that anymore at this point aside from certain jawns here n there.

'99 wasn't their time, hombre.
:picard:
There was hysteria around the bootlegs...Quiet Storm the OG was an instant classic and the Remix did numbers.
Then the album actually sold. :russ:
How were they not killing it like that?

:stopitslime: u telling me u ain't hear Quiet Storm Remix or Its Mine outside of NY? Ok fam. Lol
Quiet Storm was in a movie too...I can't think of which one it was off the top of my head.
The anticipation on that album was crazy and they delivered...in spite of the bootlegging setback.

to take it further

swizz was the main backdrop of that 98-00 era of east coast hip-hop.
X's album was number one the week it dropped.
I agree that Swizz was the main backdrop of the casio era.
His reign on top was short like Leprechauns though :prodigylol:

and "hell on earth" aint f*ckin wit the infamous.

that aint stopping yall from calling it a classic.
chit, its people in here tryna say that murda muzik was a classic.
FOMF was markedly worse compared to IDAHIH though...in all respects.
Hell on Earth was arguably better than Infamous in certain respects (P somehow became better on HOE on the mic).
