People in NY just mostly bytched about Beltran getting "big hits". Then he missed most of 2 years after the strikeout in 06, the debacles in 07 & 08. Finally when he was healthy, he was traded.

He hated Mets fans/NY media just as much as some hated him tho...so did Delgado. shyt, i don't even think Piazza gives a fukk about the Mets either.

That's sad man. Kids became mets fans because of him.

He played most of 07 and 08 and had great years. He missed half of 09 and most of 2010. Where do you Yankees fans get this shyt.

He had microfracture surgery (which I just had)

wouldnt be surprised if he came back too soon...screwed him all up..and its taking him this long to get his shyt straight

Just my opinion but I firmly believe the organization rushed/forced him to come back for the end of 09 instead of getting the surgery sooner. It was the first year of Citi Field and the Mets were out of the race and the place was empty. The Wilpons were desperate to get people there.

Beltran with the Mets games played through 05-08, 151, 140, 141, 161. And he posted OPS's of 97, 150, 125, and 130. Even in 09 when he ended being on the DL for half the season he was having an MVP caliber season before he went on the DL. He still finished the season with 144 OPS. And he played gold glove defense during these years. shyt even his finally year with the Mets he was playing better than anyone expected and his play ended up netting the Mets Zack Wheeler who most scouts are saying has ace written all over him and he no one of the top pitching prospects in the game. But people listen to these cock sucking Yanks fans.

You said he missed most of the next two seasons after the 06 strike out ? Maybe in Yankee land that isn't inaccurate but the rest of the world he is. I do agree he hated it here though and I don't blame him.
