the only ps4 exclusive that has looked impressive so far is Infamous 3

it's hard to argue that xbox one already has superior exclusives, and more of them

And PS3 has superior exclusives dropping this year alone compared to both PS4/One.

Neither console has enough exclusives to validate solely purchasing them right now. They're all launch titles anyway. And MS's exclusives at launch won't amount to more sales considering the price of the console.

I say this to say, muhfukkas conveniently mentioning exclusives on the Xbox side now because more have been announced. These are the same people who said exclusives don't matter because multiplat games look better on the 360. And nikkas are acting like the One is releasing with Halo, Gears, Titanfall, Mass Effect, (AAA games) at launch. That's not the case.

I'd like to see it if you can.

And again "progress" isn't the problem. It's time. With 5 months left to launch they should be optimizing and play testing, not still fixing textures and technical hiccups.

Let me ask you this. If this game is 35% complete like they say AND it's a launch title like they say. That would mean it only takes 5 months to complete 65% of the a game. Meaning they've only spent abou 3 months working on it so far. Do you think development for drive club started just 3months ago?

the concept itself was conceived 10 years ago from what i've read on the net

it's just funny to me

before E3, all the sony fans in here were saying shyt like "wow, it's basically a cablebox with no games that makes you pay to always be online so it can spy on you" especially after microsoft failed to really show any games during it's reveal conference...

remember how sony came out with that little promo poster saying something to the effect of "our console lets you watch live tv....and PLAY GAMES" that had everyone like :damn: its curtains for microsoft, this dat ether

never before in the history of Rec Room/Arcadium have i seen the goalposts moved so much and so frequently like i have seen for the playstation 4 these past few days

pre e3 sony fanboy talking points were:

- superior hardware (which is still true, but a moot point for now)

- free online (lol)

- no DRM (lol)

- "always online" (i agree xbox's arrangement is inconvenient for some, but we're already in an age where if you don't have a steady broadband connection....you aint really playing games anyway, and you would be naive to think sony isn't going to roll out games where you need to be always online)

- and games :heh:

now we're in the aftermath of e3, where sony pulled the rug out from under its fanbase and basically told em they adopting the same policies as microsoft in regards to online and DRM, and where microsoft clearly overshadowed them in the games department

me personally i have no stake in the console wars, and i planned on getting the console that impressed me the most....but the only thing that really impresses me about gaming consoles, are the games....and xbox is crushing sony on that end right now

Can't see anything in those shytty streams:scusthov:

Looks like the only thing that improved was the video quality.

I just don't see 5 months as enough time to complete 65% of a game. But we'll see.

Thanks for taking the time to post the videos and info:cheers:

:what:

Dawg, Sony isn't adopting the same policies as MS for next gen. They're charging people for online play (as a subscriber to Live and PS+ this doesn't bother me since I'm doing so already...). That's the only negative that came out of Sony's E3 conference. And the positives from them outweigh that drastically. Just look at the sentiment around the web.

Sony didn't have to announce tons of games because MS basically gift wrapped the positive PR for them leading into E3.

The reason why I say this?...
-Always Online console
-DRM
-Mandatory Kinect for One to function
-No Used Games
-Price

Those topics were the main points along with the game's discussion. Sony didn't follow suit, and has the more powerful console for 100 dollars cheaper.

Yet some how, you're claiming Sony has adopted the same policies that MS has for next-gen. MS also forces you to pay for Xbox Live just to use all of the streaming apps on the console. (ridiculous bullshyt) Not the case on PS4.

one is a online pay wall only for multiplayer games (not all)
& one is mandatory so how is it the same?

Drm has been around since the ps2 days so... in regards to how sony is using it it's basically the lesser of two evils compared to "Always on" DRM.

at the end of the day, sony realized they were losing too much money not charging for online and decided to follow in microsoft's footsteps...the kinect thing is really a non-issue since all of its features can be turned off from the start, DRM as it stands seems to be on a publisher to publisher basis for both consoles unless i'm mistaken, "always online" is misleading since you can play offline (and who isn't pretty much always online?)

and a free year of xbox live cuts the $100 difference in half, or even negates it if you factor in ps4 buyers having to shell out another 50 for online :manny:

so in essence what it boils down to is the games....and like i said microsoft is crushing sony on that end right now...it's like the PS3 all over again (better hardware, inferior service, no games)

why are we even discussing games when it comes to Sony? I thought it was common knowledge they have the best first party publishers in gaming? Thyeve brought top notch exclusives every generation, it wont stop now especially considering the PS4 is much more powerful than the government box.

I apologize .. it's not mandatory , but it's clearly a fukking ripoff
...Hulu Plus, Netflix, MLB.tv, Amazon Instant Video, Last.fm, Crackle, ESPN, NBA League Pass all services currently behind a paywall that is known as Xbox Live Gold... & this is on 360 alone , Im not too knowledgeable to what services will be behind the paywall on the Xbox One.

sure it's only $3-5 bucks they're charging a month to for u to use other companies content but why?
