cam will go down as one of the most underrated of all time. dude's been killin it since the early-mid 90's with coc. switched his style up multiple times, and still remained nice. only complaint i've ever hard about him, is his beat selection, since purple haze.

I agree w/the OP. His new tape is hella trash
he never did it for me. he was funny. over the top a lot of times. benefitted from his association with Mase...but Mase was much more versatile and a better writer. the rest of his career...he only stayed relevant due to Dipset. like dude said...he had his moments. if he were an MC who had no camps and affiliation around him and had to sustain a career mostly on his own....he'd been gone a lot sooner.

I haven't liked much of Cam's stuff after Purple Haze but his catalog is strong. S.D.E. is incredible and very underrated. He had a great ear for beats. Diplomatic Immunity is one of the best produced albums to me, if they cut it down to 1 disc I would say its a classic. Purple Haze was too long also but had some incredible joints
