Granted that's valid...this is an iconic character/look for his cult following...You could tell the reaction was gonna be negative on the character design. I think a better idea would have been to do the reboot with the new environments and style while maintaining the old Dante's look at least...didn't have to be the same character personality or backstory wise at all, nahmean? It's still a unique character but keeping the image on point would keep the fanboys happy.
You cant please everyone. No matter what you do people are going to bytch if its different from what they know the character to be. Having been an avid DMC fan since 1, it doesnt bother me as long as the core gameplay mechanics are in place. I played dmc because i was floored by the extreme action, combos, guns, extreme boss gameplay. I didnt play because i fell in love with Dantes appearence. The new character is Dante enough for me because he does pretty much all his moves and has that signature prickness that says *no one out here can fukk with me* Bruh going through situations that would fold an above average man talkin about *
Epic demons chasin him around and hes like
Why you runnin though? These are the reasons i play dmc not because of the lead characters outfit/hairstyle.
