That fight wouldn't generate no more than 20 PPV buys though and attendance wouldn't even fill the lobby at Circus Circus.

Would Floyd fight in the UK though? Because I think that is highly unlikely.
I think its real likely. pound > dollar.

euros fork out the dough, O2 stadium or Wembley would be huge. and PPV would remain the same, the time difference isn't THAT bad. london is 4 hrs behind NY.

Yeah don't get me wrong, I still pick Floyd. But I think Garcia is really underrated. For starters, he's a smart fighter. He's got excellent power and an excellent chin. He can box. Hand speed is deceptive and he is a very good counter-puncher. Has a great trainer. And is still young, just entering his prime yet is very experienced with an excellent amateur background. Yeah, he's a problem.
He also have a full punch arsenal and swings with bad intentions on each punch watching the Judah fight and those heat seeker right hands and those massive uppers he was throwing against Matthysse I was If he ever hits someone with one of those uppercuts he's killing them, straight up:heh:

Very Deceptive fighter, he can lull you to sleep, than strike your ass with lightening before you see it. It would take more than 1 to 2 rounds for Floyd to take away what Garcia likes, he'll have to play it more cautious opening up around 6 and 7, unlike most Floyd opponents For a 25 year old fighter his ring IQ is superb, being in them philly gyms with BHop and Nazeem schooling him must have done him wonders

Floyd is not fighting no fukking Khan in the UK after that Canelo shyt.

The only fighter I can see pull Floyd from MGM is Garcia/Cotto in Brooklyn

But if they are choosing Khan, he is clearly a keep busy fight for a big September match. Now who that September match will be against is something to think about

I agree, there is no way Floyd would fly to UK and risk any chicanery by the judges.
Plus it would be a matter of pride too...Floyd is the #1 fighter in the world and as such he wouldn't even entertain the idea of fighting in a challengers home country/town.

Cats are sleeping on Garcia. He will give Floyd problems.

:childplease:

Floyd would house Garcia in a similar way that he did Canelo.

Hell, Garcia probably wouldn't beat Zab again if he was forced to do that fight.

5 hours depending on time of year..and London time is ahead of NY not behind! plus you gotta think, the time difference is then 7 hours in vegas and west coast.

Wembley stadium? nah fukk that, it can rain at any point in the UK, even though the ring wouldnt get wet it would still feel cold in there. O2 stadium, maybe but can you see Floyd coming here for a month to hold camp? Remove himself from his comfort zone when he doesn't have to?

And wouldn't he get taxed more fighting in the UK?

Wembley stadiums got a roof, and i think floyd would get a tax break (i remember reading that Usain Bolt said he would stop attending UK events due to the taxation - then they gave him some sort of reduced rate .. .). The time difference would mean the fight would have to happen at 11pm-midnight in the UK, pretty sure Froch/Bute which was in England didnt start til about midnight due to it being aired lived in Canada.

Having said all of that, no way the fight happens in the UK

Hmm in a interview earlier this week Sr stated he only see's 3 legit battles for Mayweather's next battle

1. Danny Garcia
2. Manny Pacquaio
3. Juan Manuel Marquez(who declined a rematch according to his statements)
I agree with Floyd Sr., except I was never interested in a Marquez rematch and that 3 would obviously be Bradley now

Millenium stadium im thinking of. Wembleys roof only covers the seating areas :patrice:

Ok, yeah Millennium Stadium has the roof but fight wouldnt happen outside of the capital really but these are the issues with having a big world championship fight in the UK....just isnt the same

Floyd would not ever fight in Brooklyn or NY period. NY state tax. There's a reason why big money fight a I made in Nevada.

Garcia is from philly, why would he be able to pull Floyd to BK? Cotto? He's needs another win and a big one be in the convo.

As far as fighting internationally, Floyd mentioned he would like to do that, and there's nothing more ego boosting than going to another nikkas country and giving him that work.
