His lines in the trailer, something about them is off, 'I AM THE PRESIDENT CLOAKED IN IMMENSE POWER', I don't know if it's Daniel Day Lewis, or the delivery, or the lines themselves.....I just don't like it, but I'll see the movie, I was surprised how much I liked 'J. Edgar' last years, it's one of those you have to see....

I went in with fairly low expectations....came out pleasantly surprised.

I was worried that it would be too contrived and grossly over-scored...but there were very few moments that had me feeling like :usure:

The high points were pretty damn great, and as a political strategy/thriller it was very well crafted. And obviously, DDL dominated the film...though it was pretty damn well acted film all the way around.

The last 10 minutes though....
:rudy: HATED they way they handled the assassination...having it occur off screeen/in another theater felt cheap to me. The whole finale felt tacked on, almost out of necessity. I'd have rather they just stopped the movie after he left for the theater...

damn. I thought the trailer was cheesy as fukk. Seemed like a fukking god damn disney movie with that score. Doesn't John Williams (hollow be thy name :lawd:) do the music? Is it all cheesy and inspirational sounding like that?
is it a disney movie?

tha synopsis on rotten:

Steven Spielberg directs Daniel Day-Lewis in Lincoln, a revealing drama that focuses on the 16th President's tumultuous final months in office. In a nation divided by war and the strong winds of change, Lincoln pursues a course of action designed to end the war, unite the country and abolish slavery. With the moral courage and fierce determination to succeed, his choices during this critical moment will change the fate of generations to come. -- (C) Walt Disney

Dreamworks releases movies through Touchstone which is Disney.
