I know, sometimes he pulls it off and sometimes he doesn't. It didn't work for me in this movie.

Yeah, that's the best way to say it. It felt like a Disney movie and was over the top dramatic I how it looked and sounded than letting the story be compelling I its own which it obviously is.

One big example of it is when he leaves the White House to goto Ford theater where he gets assassinated. I had this look on my face the entire dramatic pause
