guy said you still need a computer though. but heres the thing, the regular mpc's need a sound system anyway. so you are tethered either way. this is basicallly an mpc, you just replace the sound system with a computer

none of them are truly standalone

My computer crashed 3x last year.. but cuz my mpc isnt connected to the computer I was able to keep the music going. Also the mpc is unmatched for live performances

They should have put a tilt screen on the Studio.

:usure: I got the MPC 1000 in the car on my lunch break with a pair of head phones and a lighter outlet.

The FX per pad layering is pretty nuts on the REN/Studio. And that it can import sequences/PGM's from the LEGACY. VST support and 8 banks instead of 4. Classic MPC Sequencer.

No multi timberal vst support, and it's single core (I think).

Easy as fukk tracking out (a 3 button press) :pacspit: at the 1000, 2000, and 3000 outs.

At the end of the day they do all the same shyt. Akai support is garbage and who knows if it will change with these new MPC's.

They just discontinued the 5000 their flagship machine without fixing a few bugs that would made it the go to machine.

Oh the SP1200/MPC60 modes on Maschine/Battery 3/ and Kontak sound ill as fukk. Especially if you speed up the sample turn on the SPMode and pitch it down to normal bpm. All those glitchy artifacts come in to play. No one knows how they sound on the MPC yet due to them not fully showcasing them.

I will probably cop the studio though.
