I think it comes down to who you were cheering for in the superbowl. Do you think most black people were cheering for the patriots over the seahawks? No I don't see that. Considering the black talent on that Seattle roster, between the two, I think most black people would choose Seattle over Boston.

The heat...for example...where a real "black america's" team...
Go to any hood spot and bring up basketball...most of the dudes are going to be repping or pulling for the heat...
Go to the corporate lunch and bring up basketball...most of the l 7 square corporate black men are going to be pulling for the heat...
Go to the upper of the upper class black neighbors where the black people don't even watch sports...and the only basketball player they know is lebron...so they pulling for the heat...

Bill Russell was talking about Boston in the 60s. Since he's retired, he and the city of Boston have reconciled. Boston has since recognized/praised him for his legacy and contributions to the Celtics and Boston and Russell has since admitted that he loves the city. And Russell still lives in Boston.

What I'm saying is that Boston in the 50s/60s was very different than it is now.
Nobody is saying that racism doesn't exist in Boston. But knowledgeable people understand that Boston at present is no worse than any major city in the US with a sizeable black population when it comes to race relations.
