Just 20 years ago it's was pretty much rule #1 of being black and navigating politics, especially on the internet: anyone talking sweet, encouraging black people to not vote as some form of protest is to be ignored. Assume it's a white man with his own agenda. Letting white supremacists just win with no pushback because is obviously not in our interest. Rule #2 was anyone trying to sway you to become Republican is to be ignored. The Republicans are the white supremacist party, straight up.
But they played the long game, and today in 2023, you got a whole set of black folks who are almost eager and committed to being on the wrong side of history, helping serve and defend the interests of white supremacists. and then call this empowering "independent thinking." They knew it would take time, but we're here. Slowly chiping away at us until they've met their own political goals.
You'd have to be some type of morons just looking for confirmation bias to be a c00n to not see that all this shyt contrarian shyt we've been seeing on the internet about black folks not voting, supporting Trump, and endlessly protesting Democrats is coming from someone else's agendas.
But black folks today think being a c00n is a corageous act of independence. Consider that since the fukking Ados/fba shyt started for example they have accomplished NOTHING and in fact black people enjoy less rights today and white supremacists feel even more emboldened and empowered than when these dumbass internet "movements" started. And immigrants and Democrats are still the problem according to these hashtags. It's all a fukkin game that people don't wanna wake up to. Frankly at this point in the game if you are black, a committed registered voter, get your news from reputable journalism outlets with standards and not internet charlatans with no accountability to live up to, still admire actual black academics, scholars, writers, journalists, and historians for your political views, dont fukk with social media "movements" and hashtags, don't passively defend or deflect from Republican white supremacists, dont blame liberals and Democrats for all your needs and issues, and don't make excuses for Republicans dismantling your right, YOU are the independent thinker.
