So where is Nolan's Batman Trilogy gonna rank among other trilogies.....

Godfather 1 and 2 alone make it better than Batman. Batman Begins isnt even a classic movie, it was just so completely in a different direction than most other super hero movies that people overrate it into the stratosphere.
Terminator 2 is so far ahead of even TDK that its hard for me to put Batman above the 1st 3 Terminators.
Star Wars speaks for itself.
Lord of the Rings, Toy Story, and Die Hard are also better.

IMO These trilogies are the only ones that are solid movies from 1-3. The others all have one movie that stunk up the entire trilogy. LOTR 2-3 sucked for me strictly off the constant eye-googling of Frodo and Sam

LOTR is on par with Batman, whether or not they are both top 5 or not. In fact, they both have many of the same flaws and the same advantages.
if tdkr is consistent with the other 2 its a top 3 trilogy period

BB and TDK are more or less flawless. The only thing I did'nt really like is that Nolan tried TOO hard to make a realistic Batman movie when Batman is a fictional character in a fictional world. It does'nt ALL have to make sense. There was no reason to kill Two-Face and if you're gonna kill Ra'S Al Ghul in the first movie, at least acknowledge that there are "Lazarus Pits" in the 3rd. He'll make it so that the "Venom" in Bane's veins is a derivative of the Lazarus Pit fluid.
But I guess that's too complicated to fit into 2 hours and 45 minutes huh?
And based on the premise and spoiler-laden reviews on TDKR, the Nolan Trilogy is not seeing LOTR, or BTTF.

if this was about individual films, or two movie sequels, the godfather parts I & II would be the greatest one, two-punch ever made.
BUT the thread is about TRILOGIES, the entire collective. as a COLLECTIVE, the 3rd one dropped the ball BIG-TIME to the point many play like the film never existed. in comparison to THE DARK KNIGHT TRILOGY, if the 3rd one is as the majority of critics are saying, it'll be one of the most CONSISTENT and COMPLETE trilogies of all-time.
with that all said, i'd say the dark knight trilogy may rank behind: 1) toy story, 2)the dollars trilogy, 3)the lord of the rings trilogy and just about the ORIGINAL bourne trilogy (excluding the new upcoming one, of course). so i rank it as 4th best, if possible. give or take how GOOD the final installment may fair, it may be above the dollars trilogy or just below the bourne trilogy. (of course this is all speculation)
