Will they finally stop living in the past and start adapting to modern times and beliefs? If so, who's going to lead them in that direction?

It seems like they're firmly entrenched with their views and it's going to take a LONG time for them to change direction.

What's everybody's view on this?

They screw themselves over with minorities and undecided voters by forcing their candidate to veer so far right to secure the nomination that they end up alienating those key voting blocs when the real election comes around

Let's see how the popular vote turns out.

If it's close enough, you will likely see a giant push from them to end the electoral college (Which they are going to continue to have major difficulties winning).

Of course, eventually, even the popular vote will be out of play (If it already isn't).

They can win house and senate seats for some time, but they are dead in the water in regards to presidential elections.

TYRONE GA!
They can go to hell.

Rethugs need to cut loose the radical and outdated thinking clowns. Minorities also HAVE TO BE TARGETED. Those jackasses pissed off hispanics even more since the last Presidential Election. They have to get more moderate as well.

The old cacs in the Republican party need to be left alone, time for a new younger vision. Young people aint feeling their shyt.

Nationally, nothing much will change. I personally think they will focus more on state and local governments, similar to the way they did to implement changes on abortion, voter ID, and gay marriage, just to name a few issues of significance in recent years.

The centralization of power in state legislatures and city and county government, particularly through the ability of Republican-led efforts at redistricting and limiting the demographic of people that can vote, is something that gives Rethugs a degree of control to limit the increasingly collective presence of minorities vs the "white establishment". Look at the electoral map and recognize the number of Red states that are there. If they were smart, they would consolidate as much power as they could in those states, and use that leverage as a way to campaign for a federal change to the electoral college that either tweaks the system, or does away with it totally.

Them muthafukkas are crafty enough to at least implement some degree of fukkery to stay relevant, if not in power.
