So when you're playing a fighting game

What characters do you tend to use? Strong, slow motherfukkers? The balanced jacks of all trades like Ryu?

Tend to steer away from the magical shyt and just pick someone who can just straight up body cowards with his fists

2D Fighters:

I used to be into projectile characters, quarter-circle types only though. Charge characters were a pain in the ass for me to learn.

Then I got into characters that needed to get in close to be affective (sp). I was gettin' sonned somethin' crazy in ST on MAME usin' Ken (my fav since A2) one day. Switched to Cammy on some random shyt and finally won a match

3D Fighters:

I just fukks with Tekken. I pick someone fast or balanced. The less moves in their movelist, the better. I have a horrible memory in fighters

I really say. I try to stick with charaters that I can control fluidly. Depending on what game it is. I try to play all of them for a while to try and get a feel for them. So each game is different.

Generally characters that are fast and offensive-oriented...definitely not slow characters or characters with charge moves (except Blanka). I'm aggressive, so I can't handle waiting for my opponent to fukk up...I gotta go out there and fight!

I pick who ever has a throw that I really like. I enjoy making nikkas mad with cheap throws.

Whoever has the easiest moveset and those double button power shots that just knock your head off. Roger Jr's power left right in tekken is my favorite move. I spam it repeatedly because its so fun to watch

Judging from who I have picked in the past,

Favorite team game squad of all-time: Spiral/Storm/Sentinel.
Favorite 1v1's: Dhalsim, Blanka and Guile.

Usually the tricky and defensive characters/teams that can put damage down when there's an opening or set-up.

I try to pick characters with the most options either moveset or playstyle wise.

I like "safe" characters like Guile where you can play defensively and from a distance.

Fast, quick with the feet like Ken, Blanka or Chun Li. Don't like big lumbering fighters.

I've notice I'm a up close and person rumble tumble type of player so I tend to pick characters that I can use kick/knee attacks. I hate spamming fireballs from across the screen... that's not fighting to me. For example I picks:

Tekken: Lee, Hworag, Baek
Street Fighter: Sagat, Adon
Any SNK Game: King, Joe Hagashi
Marvel vs Capcom 2: Jin, Akuma

I tend to play the characters that are either unique or really strong.

SF:Boxer, Guile, Makoto
MvC2:MSP
Tekken:Law, Jin, King
SNK:Iori, Kyo, Vanessa, Gato

I always fukk with the Shaolin Monks or the kung-fu users.

Tekken: Lei Wulong, Dragunov, Feng Wei, and Baek

I like the Tekken series most. I tend to pick the weird unorthodox nikkas.

Lei Wulong is tricky as hell which is what I appreciate more than anything else in a figthing. His command list can be a bytch when you're training to use him but it's also an advantage against other players. All them stances can confuse.

Dragunov, I really like because of his counters and reversals which he's showered with. Makes fighting against Law, King, and Marduk users less annoying.

Feng Wei I also like because he's got speed and power.

Baek is just a speed character I used when people use a cheap character like Alisa.
