Scandal?

How to get away with murder?

The same people who watch Empire are the same people who watch those 2 shows

empire has a much broader audience. they would kill those shows.

at least with black-ish, its a clear alternative, being that its a sitcom.

This show premiered before Empire.

i dont know who moved but they werent always going head-up.

i remember being able to watch both shows once upon a time.

Where im at only black women watch that shyt

I literally dont know one man or teen who watches that shyt...not one

I guess the audience is different depending on where you're at

THIS.

and empire has a huge male fanbase. only men watching those scandal shows on abc are tv buffs.

I was about to disagree with this, but it's pretty much true. IMO it's a terrible show (I gave it a full season), but it does have Black Twitter and a strong female following. It gets heavy burn on social media when it's on too.

This would make absolutely no sense though.
No reason to mess with a successful formula on Thursday to try to take viewers away from another network on Wednesday. Especially when Blackish is only 30 minutes.

You don't need the highest/best rated show to be deemed a success. I'm sure Black-ish is doing well enough being that they ordered more episodes. Their lead in (Modern Family) does not have the same demographic as Empire and always does numbers. All they want Blackish to do is keep some of that steam to not have a complete tune out after MF goes off. Which makes sense, since if you were going to watch Empire, you wouldn't be watching MF and tuning in 30 minutes late. Not to mention Empire seems to have lost a little steam from last season.
