So what's the plan for Westbrook and OKC going forward?

Westbrook can opt out after next season and the team is over the cap through the 2018-19 season, so they can't make any major moves for a while.

I doubt Westbrook asks out via trade, but will OKC have the heart to approach him after the season and explore trading him? We all know they're not gonna be able to put a championship team around him.

The real issue is that the only team that has the pieces to acquire him will front like giving up Rozier would be a dealbreaker.

Another problem is that come free agency, should he walk from OKC, he'll likely wind up on a team that isn't much better than OKC if at all. It would be change just to change. Granted, we don't know how teams will progress in a year or two, but in that time, a lot of space is gonna get used up and the ones who don't are the teams waiting 5 years to compete.

I would say that they should go after Griffin in the off season but he's always injured so I'm not sure that he's worth the risk, his game seems to be declining every year too. They definitely need to surround Russ with more shooting though, has to be a priority.

Grant is a much better player on defense, which will be needed if you're gonna have Kanter in your 2nd unit. Kanter making $80 mil isn't gonna help unless they wanna do some shyt like trade him for Crabbe.

Presti needs to surround him with elite 3&D guys. Watching the game today, they have terrible shooting. Kiss the MVP goodbye if they can't reach 50 wins due to poorly constructed roster.

Elite 3&D guys = great two way players. They don't grow on trees.

HES A BENCH PLAYER.
HIS DEFENSE ISNT GONNA DECIDE ANY GAMES.

ILYASOVA IS A PROVEN SCORER IN THE LEAGUE
AND WOULD HAVE MADE RUSS LIFE EASIER.

He needs to leave.

That organization signed thier fate when they traded James Harden.

They need to learn that a market such as thiers should NEVER trade away potential top 5/10 player.

They were too arrogant after stealing a team and making great draft picks but drafting that well is never forever. Drafting 3 MVP caliber players in a row is unheard off.

Nobody is gonna come play with Russy so if he wants to win he will have to leave.

They were never winning a title as they were constructed anyway.

San Antonio will have space. Denver, Indy and probably Minnesota will too.

We don't know that.

They were all under 25 and had a Finals trip under thier belts.

That's a situation ANY other team would kill for. ESPECIALLY a small market team.

Keep the core together and bring in a coach worth a damn and I believe they get ATLEAST one.

They were trying to be too "smart" but are really just cheap.
