I watched it recently and it was amazingly better than I thought it was, don't know why I didn't like it in the nineties, great film.
Because in the 90s everyone expected something similar to Pulp Fiction (myself included), not his most mature film.
Yeah, I think Tarantino started repeating himself and the last bit of steam he had was with the Bill Vol.1 and Vol.2. Because the two movies that have followed after those installments have been weak.
If you think Inglourios Basterds is weak, then your opinion is wrong. It featured two of the most tense scenes of the decade (opening and tavern), a great international cast, one of the most memorable villains of all time, effortless dialogue in four languages (how many Hollywood directors/writers could even do that?), etc.
It's his best film of the 00s, period.
That scene was better when it was in The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.
No it wasn't (and TGTBTU is one of my 10 favs). Both scenes are equally good.
