It’s wild how Brock is basically Jimmy G 2.0 :heh:

Jimmy went 5-0 to finish 2017 and tricked a lot of people (specifically Kyle & Lynch) into thinking he was a Franchise QB. Brock goes 7-0 to finish 2022 before breaking his elbow and now he’s being anointed as the Franchise QB. I’ve seen this movie before and I think Brock, while exceeding low expectations, got people fooled :patrice:

It’s more than likely that his run in 2022 will be as good as it will ever get for him
Didn’t trick me though. People talking bout Brock like a perennial Brie bowl vet will slide back into the starting role and won’t miss a beat. It will be very interesting to see how the season plays out. Imagine if Sam Darnold ended up being the guy? :pachaha:

Brock Purdy is 23 years old and is coming off a rookie season. Yes, we don't know how this injury will affect his development and I get people being sceptical about him. But y'all can get the fukk out of here if you can't understand why some people think dude can get better :dead: at the very least we have some years to figure out if it's worth keeping him or not.

Jimmy G was 26 years old when he first arrived here and had some limited experience in the NFL already. We were also starving for any decent play at QB so dude coming up and doing really good was  he was also on a contract year so we made the mistake of giving him too much money but we can't also forget the knee injury changed him as a player and he was never able to develop as a better QB. He was never better than he was when he came in....maybe Brock will suffer the same future but we don't know, AND we have the luxury of having him on a dirt cheap contract for the next couple of years.

BTW, we can absolutely make the same case for Trey in terms of age and possibilty of development. But I'm with the camp of thinking Kyle sees him as a type of QB he only has 1 scheme/playbook for and sadly, it's one that Trey will never be able to succeed at nor develop much. I hope I'm dead wrong :francis:

There are some facts in there :mjlol:

But yes this sounds about right with out fanbase:lolbron:

We want a Superbowl, it's been almost 30 fukking years since the last one. fukk him unless he gets us a ring. Fuuuuck the "bu bu bu we contending now!" crew. I want another SB win and I'm gonna bytch and complain until I get one :birdman:

When you are dubbed this so called Genius. The expectation is for you to show it. ESPECIALLY when you have a SB team. A good coach would have had at least two rings by now with our roster.

fukking Sean McVay has a ring. Kyle has none.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Trey with all the pressure for this training camp. On one hand I like it but on the other I still think Kyle is too stubborn and will continue to scheme for him the same way it hasn't worked the past 2 seasons :francis:

I mean look at what he did with every mobile qb he's ever had.. People think he loves a Jimmy or a Brock.. No... When given picks, he ALWAYS takes the mobile qb. He's got our damn WR being a RB. He obviously puts mobile qb over the same skillset but not mobile, or he'd have stuck with Jimmy or drafted a stationary qb..

So you can expect the EXACT same shyt. He didn't learn from RG3, then he ain't gonna learn.

A lot of things are gonna be said about the QB drama this year but here’s my bottom line: If Trey can’t beat out Sam Darnold and a less-than-100% Brock Purdy for the QB1 job, he ain’t the guy :manny:
And that's what all this blah blah is about. I don't care who says what... If Trey is undefeated and leading the league in QB stats, no way Brock takes over in week 4. If he's playing like shyt, no way Brock doesn't slide in there...

The ball is in Trey's hands, literally. He better look like #2 in the draft or it's OVER

My hot take: No other active coach could’ve done better than Kyle has with the roster we’ve had for the last 4 years

Kyle’s won 6 playoff games with Jimmy G (arguably one of the WOAT playoff QBs) and Mr. Irrelevant. Most people would agree that Bill Belichick and Andy Reid are two of the best coaches right now. Would they have better playoff results with those QBs? I’m not sure about that :patrice:

The Hoodie’s having a hard time since Brady dipped. He’s trying to making it happen with Mac Jones but it’s not working. And Andy Reid only won 2 playoff games in 5 years with Alex Smith at QB before Mahomes showed up

I get the frustration with Kyle. I really do. He has his faults but he’s also a top 5 HC at the very least right now :manny:

I absolutely agree with this.
