Random, but related, to this day I randomly get mad that we had Aldon, Pat, and Navarro at the same time and lost what should've been a historical defense to injuries and fukkery.

Navarro injury still hurts my feelings.

Man, when he stripped the ball while tearing his acl and wasn’t awarded that fumble my heart broke. That 2013 defense was so good and it will be overshadowed by that Seahawks defense because they ultimately won but man 2013 was just as good as that Seahawks defense.

Come on we got to stop with this Breh it is clear Kyle would have preferred Mac Jones. Let’s be real Brock Purdy is a more athletic and quicker processor version of Mac Jones
Kyle loves stiff goofy QB's. IF it were up to him. We'd have Kirk Cousins and would be getting bounced in the first round every year in the playoffs.

look at this shyt from Matt Barrows

Purdy, of course, is largely unproven. And he has suffered big injuries (oblique/elbow) in two of his eight career starts. Cousins, on the other hand, has been remarkably healthy in starting either all or all but one game in each of the last eight seasons. So if Purdy gets hurt again and both Lance and Sam Darnoldfalter as replacements, I can see Shanahan rekindling his interest in Cousins.

I don't get love for bum ass Kirk Cousins. Not one running back(before CMC) and WR could touch Dalvin Cook and Justin Jefferson from the Niners and this bum shyts the bed come playoff time. It's really frustrating to see all these bum ass white QBS get all this praise.

I mean, this is just Barrows forcing a narrative to drive clicks in the middle of dead news period.

He's basically saying "if the 49ers three current QBs don't work, Cousins might be an option". That's not saying anything. Any team that sees their 3 QBs fail to the point of not even being an option to start in 2024 could potentially see Cousins as a stop gap :mjlol:

The salary cap is lowkey another reason why they’re picking Brock over Trey. Brock’s deal is basically 10x cheaper than Trey’s while being way more productive

Any team in our shoes would choose the cheaper and more productive QB. It is what it is :manny:

Trey is on his rookie deal as well, so we gucci regardless.

And there's no telling if the glass slipper comes off Brock either.

just a good situation to be in.

They still have to pay Trey regardless ... And because where Brock was picked, they actually have to resign him first since there's no 5th year option... ANNNNNNNNNNNND he'll be an UFA so from day one, the entire NFL can offer him contracts

So that doesn't make any sense

They’re both on rookie deals but there’s a big difference between Trey making $10M a year for the next 2 seasons and Brock making $1M a year. Especially as the roster gets more expensive in 2024 & 2025

If Brock continues to start and play around his current level, they’ll offer him an extension before he becomes an UFA. But the soonest they can do that is the 2025 offseason when he’ll have 1 year left in his rookie deal. By then, Trey will most likely be gone since his deal expires after 2024
