It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. The Yankees have the kind of team that we love rooting against. I go to games. The team outside of the core four just don't have players that fans are that fond of. Fans get down on the team too early. In some cases it doesn't matter what they do, they can't win (Teixeira). They'll shyt on a player and say he ain't a real ace and then when he comes through gurgle compliments on his dikk (CC). Half the time they don't know whether they want the team to fail or succeed sometimes. You can tell. The attendance isn't as high. The ratings on YES are at a 10 year low. The team doesn't have a young player that they can pin irrational hopes upon. I talk about the suits all the time, but it is so easy to turn Yankee Stadium into your own home park for a night if you're the opposition.

The only thing fans do in unison now besides boo the players is cheer during the Yankee Cap Game.

In fairness to the Yankee fans, this isn't just a Yankee fan thing. It's the same vibe with the Knicks, the Jets, the Mets. The Giants seem to be the only squad that doesn't relish the opportunity to pounce on a player (and it took Eli TWO Superbowls to get everyone off his back)
the bolded should've been your 1st point, because everything else sounds like speculation.

what has mr.popup done in 4 years to get people's hopes up?

how would you expect people to feel if they pay good money to see an old, expensive team?

a kid like jesus monetro comes up, shows promise, get thrown in the bushes for a muthafukka who hasn't thrown a pitch yet for the team. how would yu expect fans to feel about that?

the front office has no clear direction, and the real fans are peeping that.
