Lineup tomorrow should be

RF Ichiro
SS Nunez
1B Teixeira
2B Cano
3B Rodriguez
DH Ibanez
C Stewart (if Martin can't go)
CF Granderson
LF Gardner

In reality, I'd rather see Ichiro at CF and Swisher in RF with Granderson benched (it balances the bottom of the lineup better), but they'll use Granderson's defense as an excuse to keep him in the lineup (and they shouldn't. It's not like he's been great at tracking shyt down this postseason)

Where is Paul O'Neil when you need him?

His slide into second on his last at bat damn near breaking his leg is the type of effort this Yankee team lacks.
I used to not dislike those Yankee teams with Paul O'Neil, Scott Brosius, Tino Martinez, Bernie Williams and that crew.

Those guys were not the biggest stars but they played hard and you can tell everything was life and death.

The Yankees jumped the shark when they signed Giambi and threw Tino Martinez into the bushes. They lost their soul from that point forward.

they're not exactly rebuilding (and if they are, then these dark clouds will hover for a while)

I'm just proud of Nunez.

so they gonna spend more money?

it looks like its over.

At least with this crew. Jeter's ankle is gone. ARod is looking finished and is owed 115 more million. They have no speed. Who knows if Rivera is coming back to what he was, or if they will even resign him (probably will).

idk man. I think this group is over, or should be.

No. Most of the team will return minus a few exceptions. The rotation's mostly intact and they need to buy low and invest in the next Swisher per se.
