French had a release date but got pushed back due to Drakes tour

that doesnt even make sense. French got pushed back cause his lead single "Pop That" JUST dropped last week, "Shot Caller" lost steam months ago, for all intents and purposes French was lost in the water before this tour.

And I thought it was well known that one of Drake's biggest favors is putting other young artists on. Its obvious from the fact that he shares the stage with them on his tour every night during his set. He blatantly said that he was making sure he had a verse with EVERY artist on his tour.

people really dont wanna give the kid any type of credit. The "he gave em a release date" part is disputable but you cant argue that he doesn't at least put on his peers.

What I'm saying is, when you're an artist of Drake's caliber, (and mind you I'm not a Drake fan at all but I will admit that dude knows how to make a hit) you don't just go around doing features for everybody, unless you're desperate to make yourself look "connected" with all these rappers talking about the streets, the trap, A1 cocaine, etc. And while Drake looks at a feature as a way to build a connection with that rapper and to "get in" with that crowd and also that city, the rappers he's doing the feature for are looking back at Drake like " Ok nikka thanks for the feature, I'll holla at you again when my album bout to drop "

Bottom line: this nikka Drake hopping on everybody's shyt like he aint a platinum artist himself...He obviously aint doing these MIXTAPE features for money, because there's no real money in mixtapes. There's other reasons why Drake, an R&B artist for the most part, keeps doing verses for the rappers who pertain to demographics Drake has not yet been able to reach alone.

But it aint even like French, 2 Chainz, Meek, and Future were "no name cats" before the Drake features tho breh, so you can't use that justification here. Everybody that Drake is hopping on features with already has their respective fanbases..Drake aint pulling nobody outta the dark and giving them a release date. Let's get that out the way.

I dont how know I can say it any different....These rappers are using Drake for his reputation and his following in order to make themselves rich, not to be able to say they know Drake on a personal level. Drake's situation is the exact opposite. Honestly, I think something like this was the reasoning for Drake not doing the Future video shoot
