If i remember right. He never originally said he'd face punk, i think he said he'd face whoever was champion at RR. this was before the match Punk and Cena had at some PPV, can't remember which.

The Rock got a title shot because he won a bigger match with no bullshyt than Punk has done in his whole career. He was next in line for a title shot if he was on a regular schedule if continuity meant shyt but they just did the Undertaker thing with him. So it's all good....

LOL. And what is up with this weird fixation that Punk, a heel, needs to go over Rock to look good for Taker? Doesn't even make sense. Fans already KNOW Taker is winning the match with Punk from the day it's announced and why would the Rock be used as fluff for a undercard match?

It goes like this..the Rock wins the WWE title, comes out the next night, dumps that title in the trash, and says he doesn't want it. Or you could have Punk come out and Rock hands him that title because he doesn't want it and demands the Attitude Era belt be brought out instead. That way the Rock wins the belt and he can shyt on the PG title outright while putting the Attitude Era belt above all. Then can you have your predictable little Taker/Punk match that 80k strong knows the outcome to.

What they should do instead:


-Ryback WINS title at TLC, creating great interest among both marks and smarks as everone wonders what they're gonna do


-After a couple weeks (you can play up that he got really beat up at TLC) a still recovering PUNK storms into interim GM's office and demands he gets his rematch at the Rumble. Vickie or whoever tells him sorry, but THE ROCK is already guaranteed a title shot at RR for no reason other than he declared it in a promo months ago. Obviously this further infuriates Punk and plays right into their rivalry.


-GM then says since Punk wants a rematch so bad he'll get it....TONIGHT! No DQ Punk is like


-Typical 12-minute Punk-Ryback match w Reeves mostly dominating, he sets Punk up for Shellshock when THE SHIELD again run in and attack Ryback. He fights them all off but Punk comes back with a chairshot, then gets Ryback up for the GTS. Suddenly CENA comes down the ramp for the save, causing Punk to drop Ryback. Cener slides in the ring picking up the chair as Punks run away to the outside. Cena yells and points at Punk for a moment, then TURNS AROUND AND SMASHES RYBACK TO HELL WITH THE CHAIR :vince: Ruthless agression is displayed on Ryback with the chair, Stone Cold style. Cener then lifts him on his shoulders and gives a typical Cena shyt-eating smug smirk to the camera as the boo's reign down. AA. Cena leaves and and a stunned Punk crawls back into the ring and REGAINS THE TITLE.


-This sets up Punk-Rock at RR while Cena feuds with Ryback, bringing him legitamacy and getting Cena out of stupid Clair Lynch storylines. Obviously also finally turns Cena, making his buildup and feud with Rock at Mania 100x more interesting and realistic.

He's already heel in a way because most wrestling fans don't like him. The ones that do are 90% marks and little kids who just go along with whoever is supposed to be good guy/bad guy. So have him act pretty much as he does already and just kayfabe have him feud with faces instead and slighty play up the shyt that already makes people dislike him. Of course youre gonna have some smark losers suddenly cheer him just to cheer the heel but thats the case with any heel.

Nah, it just seems that way when they go to smark towns. Cena's pretty popular but he does have a larger kid fanbase.

The only time I really thought he should have went heel was when he came back from injury in 2008 and he was just there and Jeff Hardy was crazy over.

But anyway they already play him as a heel to smarks and all that. And we already know most smarks cheer heels more than faces. That's why you get those split chants at ppvs. The E could have turned him when he started getting those like they've done for every other top guy they've had but I guess they like the reaction he gets so they just let him play it up.

Plus all the faces suck right now except D Bry basically.
