The media sucks when it comes to this. Their fear mongering during Hurricane Rita caused more deaths than the actual storm.

The weathermen down here are the worst

"Hurricane Tre is off the coast of Nova Scotia and is expected to dissipate within the next 12 hours."

"But Bob isn't there a chance this storm could double back from the North Pole, get into warmer waters and hit the Texas gulf coast as a potential category 6 hurricane?"
