Bloomberg should have shut the entire city down today

These Cab Drivers are ready to throw hands over Gas right now

Made a huge post and it posted twice, went to edit it and the message was gone, wtf.

Basically went back to Long Beach today, had a foot of water in the apartment. Luckily we saved a lot of stuff because we put it up high when we left. Some stuff ruined though, television stand, fouton, box spring destroyed thankfully the mattress didn't get wet, my books, fridge, stove, a hand carved corner shelving unit, and both our mp3 players. Thankfully I backed out music up on an external HDD. Some other stuff I'm too tired to remember. Sand all over the apartment. But like I said luckily we took a lot before we left and what we didn't I put up high. The force of the water hitting the house actually knocked some stuff on the floor. It was crazy seeing cars thrown about like matchbox cars. We didn't drive around much, just basically to our apartment and out of there. We took some stuff today like our clothes and televisions, goin go back tomorrow and get some more stuff that wasn't ruined. As bad as it sounds, we ended up pretty lucky compared to most out there.

Damn homey :wow:. With all the technology we have, there's gotta be a way to waterproof homes. I mean we sending craft to Mars, yet still facing these problems in a first world country?

BTW, thank God I don't have work today and hopefully tomorrow either. Therere no trains from bk to Manhattan, and that shuttle bus line outside Barclays looks like an evacuation site. 3-4 people wide, around the corner. This city gotta adapt to these storms. There should've been 10 times the number of buses on standby, train conductors should have bus training, car traffic should be 4 passengers minimum.

Off for the entire week, like if I would had attempt to go in anyway. :mjpls:

Buses are picking drones of people up near Atlantic and shuttling them into the city.

One of my friend text and said the gas station is turning people :violent:, because their lines galore, and people are clamoring for the little left.

Nobody cares.

Daps for the concern :pacspit:

I was thinking about taking one of those Manhattan shuttles today just for the experience, but seeing those long lines outside of the Atlantic Terminal  makes me say forget that. Not trying to get stuck in traffic on a bridge. :pachaha:
