It was the best turn in a long time. Dean and Seth sold it amazingly. When Dean seemed surprised himself after the Dirty Deeds and was like struggling with it and and then decided well fukk it and kept attacking him, that was fantastic.

Did you see those people's faces? They were genuinely horrified and angry.
Every week we have expected it, except last night. There was no better time. Any other week, Dean maybe even gets cheered for dropping Seth! Because in kayfabe, Seth still deserved to catch the fade. So doing it this way actually gained sympathy for Seth, ironically. They should go 100 with Dean, as far as the Main Event title scene. And same with Seth as he has been the work horse/potential top babyface ever since that gauntlet match. It's his time now too.
100% this

I still dont think they will because its dumb WWE, but they should absolutely push these two and their feud to the moon now. Crowd is so invested.

It was a great heel turn. My concern now is do they know where they're going with it?

And can they sustain it creatively?

It'd be a crying shame if they screwed up a Dean Ambrose (Jon Moxley-ish) heel.

The end of last night was great, heartbreaking and disturbing.

Seth saying "It's okay" was great, like this was just an outburst / coping mechanism from Dean.

Dean kneeling and crossing himself at the steps was intriguing too.

Ambrose has the depth to be a great, great heel.

It was the right time, they had an audience at an emotional peak from earlier in the night.

No issue for me, even with the Roman announcement. I doubt Roman will be mentioned by Dean or Seth during thier feud. Wouldn't surprise me if Dean(and Seth) is drafted back to Smackdown by the time Roman returns.

I don't put it past Vinny Mac to do something like this, and at the same time think it was a good call. I'm sure Roman gave the thumbs up also as he is a team guy and knows that they are all behind him. As Heyman alluded earlier in the show that the show must go on.

As much as we :pacspit: at Vince. He KNOWS when to push that “LOGIC” button at just the right moment.

And what makes this more compelling is that they are tag champions. This fued has potential to be on the same level if Gargano and Champa. If done right...

And with his golden boy on the sideline indefinitely...Vinny Mac has no choice but to keep pushing that “LOGIC” button over and over again..

It's pretty tacky and low rent...but it is what it is...this whole company is tacky and low rent. They once had them continue to wrestle in aring that had a pool of blood in it, after one of their wrestlers fell off the rafters and died mid-show.

Vince is a sociopath. Nothing really matters but the show. So sure who gives a fukk because obviously the most important thing is is getting Dean Ambrose as much boos as possible. That's what really matters. And if Roman dies, Vince can run a nice little tribute show, and pop a nice rating.

The show must go on.

I'm actually surprised at the amount of backlash it's getting. It's not like Dean mentioned Roman's cancer battle or anything. It was perfect timing imo and a great way to finish resetting RAW.

We get all these fans (including myself) talking about how boring and predictable this shyt is, well everyone knew Ambrose's heel turn was coming but NOT on Monday Night, most felt the probably nixed it for obvious reasons but they decided to turn him on that Night and it was uncomfortable, it was shocking, it was unpredictable and it was a great decision by WWE. If he turns weeks later then he may end up getting the Becky reaction, and Vince probably didn't want that.

Question is, what will they do with it?

All I know is we should be in for a fantastic feud between Rollins and Ambrose. Their 1st feud after the initial Shield breakup was great. Now the roles are reversed. (Rollins as the face and Ambrose as the heel) Let's see where they go with this. It was definitely perfect timing and a well executed heel turn. You don't see too many turns like this these days.

WWE has always been at their best when their back was against the wall, for the most part. The Attitude era is a testament to that. Dean’s turn was a decision made by a company that had its back against the wall, after its top guy had to leave due to illness. It was the perfect time to pull the trigger because no one saw it coming and it made sense. What they do going forward will be interesting, whether it falls off the rails or sustains itself, but the initial turn IMO was the right decision to make. Personally I’m kicking myself for not going, because I thought about it and went night prior, and Providence ain’t far from me at all
