After teaching kids all morning, you definitely need some piece and quiet...and rest for your feet. I used to head right out the door after dropping kids off at lunch, get Wendy's or Subway, eat my food in my car while listening to sports talk radio, and maybe taking a quick nap. (I always set my cell to wake me up).

You've got to clear your mind after hearing all those kids with attitude as to not hold grudges because those same kids'll be chill the rest of the day.

Without a lunch break, I'm sure you'd hear more about teachers flipping out at work.
