Honestly they just gotta make the eyes bigger, I feel like. The rest of it ain't too bad. Reminds of some of the Pokemon in Detective Pikachu.

I'm an old-school Sonic fan and really, really wanted to give this movie a chance. I really did.
But whoever approved that design for Sonic needs to be fired. I don't know why they couldn't take a hint from Detective Pikachu and keep his design close to the games.

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company got their foot on Warner Bros. neck to make sure they get the designs rights. SEGA needs the do the same thing to Paramount, but something tells me that they won't.
