This was a masterpiece in my opinion. I just hope they can continue the quality, as I believe they will be using different actors next time, etc etc. I heard it could be two female detectives which in my view would be a mistake. much better if they must have a female lead, to make it a mulder/scully thing ,it worked so well with the xfiles.
The only people I hear critising it are the feminists because they dislike how women are depicted , but it would be a mistake in my view to socially engineer what has so far been excellent writing. Got to remember it was partly set in 1995, things were rather different back then in the police for instance.That was one thing I disliked about dexter, in the police station the vast majority of the officers and detectives were clean cut young pretty people , if you have ever been in a police station even today, that just isn't how it is. Nice to look at , some of the girls gave me the horn but it kind of made it more shallow and plastic in my opinion.
