McNulty was "natural po-lice" but dude was kind of a fukk up at the same time. Lester was pretty much always on point.
The rest of the team was hit or miss.
Regardless, the biggest hurdle wouldn't be their skills as police, it would be their bosses. They practically had to beg to investigate Avon and had to break the law to catch Marlo. If McNulty walked in talking about this guy:
is a meth kingpin Rawls would've had his ass on boat duty for the entire run of "The Wire".
However, if they were given a chance Walt would be busted immediately. Lester would probably
"don't get any ideas, now" at Walt's birthday party in the first episode, then he'd go work at Gray Matter.
If you really want to make this a GOAT level discussion, let's place this post-season 2 so Gus/Mike/Saul is in the mix. Things get a bit trickier then.
As far as Vic Mackey you guys gotta be trolling me. The only way Vic would catch a win against Walt is if he arrested or killed him immediately. All these scenarios...."Vic would intimidate Walt and make him cook for him"....."the Strike Team would threaten his family"....did you not watch "Breaking Bad"? Because that's the type of shyt that literally never worked. Any prolonged interaction with Walt is a guaranteed L....that's one of the major themes of the series.

Yeah, a lot of people are underestimating Walt and overestimating McNulty. Heisenberg isn't easy to find, and what clues would lead him to Walt? Plus, I don't see Jesse giving up Walt if it goes that far. And Walt would have no problem killing McNulty to cover his tracks.Great thread breh.

Marlo only outsmarted HERC when he was in charged and they were undermanned and McNulty was enjoying the beat cop life. By the time Lester returned, he learned about what happened to the bodies in a swiftness. Both McNulty and Lester devised an ingenious scheme just to get Marlo which was ONLY foiled because of Herc bitcchazz....
Walter White wouldn't get passed season one. Hell, his couldn't get it passed his own wife by season 2.

no? i'm kinda twisted...maybe i'm remembering wrong then. i thought he drove there in a panic and pulled up in that car...what i am missing?
He drove his car to Clovis' junkyard (Badger's cousin), and then he drove the RV to that old guy's junkyard. Afterwards, Walt stated that he called a taxi so that he could leave the junkyard.
